Stardust Vigil 2020
It was a cold morning in the early hours of Valentines Day 1981. Tragedy struck a nightclub called The Stardust in Artane, Dublin, Ireland.
The fire quickly spread throughout the club. Claiming the lives of 48 innocent souls and injuring more than 200 people.
Now, some 39 years later, the family of the victims are still fighting for justice.
Former RTÉ Reporter Charlie Bird revealed a permanent plaque honouring all of the lives lost.
On the night of the 2020 vigil – Charlie Bird was also joined by journalist and broadcaster Eamon Dunphy along with the main campaigners for justice; Antoinette Keegan, Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Eugene Kelly who are still fighting for justice today.
